They started calling me about an acct from 8 yrs ago. They called my job and when I asked them to stop calling and hung up they proceeded to call repeatedly and then asked to speak with MY supervisor! I told him if he didn't quit calling I was going to press charges against him for harassment. They haven't called my job back but they do periodically keep calling my cell phone! They are extremely rude and disrespectful. At one point the man said to me "I'm going to teach you what it's like to pay your bills!" That's professinal!!
After the sixth call in less than an hour, and no voicemail left, I called the number back. Someone named Anthony answered. He asked if I knew AGirlinTexas ______. I said, "that's me." He then "verified" the last 4 of my SSN (he gave them to me...I didn't give any info out). He said he needed to transfer me to his manager. I asked him to tell me what it was about before he transferred me but he said that he wasn't able to tell me since he was "just an employee." Really? This company is going to have people answering the phone who can't help the caller?! He said it wouldn't take long, but I was at work so I didn't hold. I got a call back almost immediately and was told that I needed to return the call immediately. Ha! Yeah, right. I'll get right on that. I'm glad I didn't actually talk to the guy. The message he left proved how pushy and rude he is.
I received a call from this number from a man named Mark stating a had 24 hours to call him back. He was calling from PR & Associates. Never stated what it was about.
I believe this is Portfolio Recovery & Associates. They have called me from 10 different states. Still have no idea who they are and what they want. But this has been going on for a long time. I think I should just tell them that I am going to be calling the FTC and leave it at that.
Continue to receive these messages (this is the third or fourth one), but they don't say what the call is about just that they have been attempting to contact and we have 24 hours to return their call. We never bother calling back because it's a complete scam.
