Same craigslist scam as posted in regards to 404-594-7275. Wording slightly different: "Thanks for your interest.Room still open.just sign up here http://jessica.roommatenext.com and let me know for the next step. This is how I'll know you are not Marketer/Robot.Thanks"
Link takes you to roomster, com which appears to be somewhat legit so long as you pay attention to their subscription terms...
Nevertheless, was totally phished. And I thought I was so savvy. Next time I'll google first.
This the same Craigslist scam as has been reported from other numbers but with a slightly different URL specified in the follow-up text message.
I responded to an ad for a roommate in Minneapolis (sharing a 2-bdrm unit for $525) -- local area codes are 612, 952 or 763 -- received this text message in response from 1-714-485-7464 -- "Room Still Open. Please Sign Up Here http://rabecca.roommatenext.com & Let Me Know For The Next Step. Just Prove You Are Not A Marketer."
Just received text with exact wording: 646 583 5290
Asked to sign up to rabecca.roommatenext.de.vu
Totally fooled! by the way, what harm can be done from this kind of scam? they don't have any of my personal details, except now I can't seem to delete the account that I set up.
