Ignore. Total scam. They just robo call as many people as they can with the same message. Then they wait for people to respond. Then if they respond, that means the person is susceptible to more threats. Then they demand money to make the whole problem go away. Usually they want an untraceable Green Dot money Pak. It's just assembly-line scamming at this point.
I Just got a phone call from this number. I dont answer unknown numbers, the foreign lady left a voicemail saying I would be getting arrested at my home or workplace. She then gave me a number to call. Then said "I'll see you at the court house"!
Same as the others have stated. This is scam number. They'll switch numbers in a few days and do it again. The big problem is that I work at a jail, so when they call to tell me they're going to arrest me at work, I just let them have it. I tell 'em to come right on and get me. Oddly, they never do. LOL! It's a scam. Tell them to kiss your tail feathers and watch how quickly they devolve into screaming and cursing at you. No true collections agency or law enforcement agency can do that.
Scammers. Ignore them. Most likely originating in India.
Fraudulent or Zombie Debt Collectors—Things to Know
If you have received a call stating:
1. You have defrauded a financial institution
2. You owe an unpaid payday loan
3. You have a warrant due to an unpaid loan
5. You will receive a court summons
6. Authorities are coming to arrest you
7. Anything similar to above,
a. Do not give them any information or verify any information for them
b. Tell them you know they are a scam operating illegally and that you are filing a complaint with the appropriate authorities
* File a complaint with the FBI on their Internet Crime webpage http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
* File a complaint with the Attorney General for the state you live in
The more information and complaints there are, the better the chance of getting these criminals to stop (or at least reduce the frequency). [abstracted from another site]
Such a stupid threat. Arrests are only made by duly constituted law enforcement authorities. As if these [***] are US policemen. No law enforcement agency notifies anybody that they are going to be arrested. Totally stupid scam.
