This number belongs to Westcom Credit Union, doesn't anyone ever answer their phone or call a number back? Must be some pretty low-lifes to have to live in fear like that. Such a shame.
Hmm, I got a totally legit message from them about a problem with one of my checks. I'm glad they called. The only issue I have is that they left me a different callback number on the message, but I guess they did that cuz it was a toll-free number. Not sure if I would have gotten through if I just called this number back.
Anyway, take this as at least one counterpoint to the people receiving annoying calls from them.
I hate Wescom. I had gotten a car loan from Wescom for $20,000. Then they started sending me unsolicited offers for more money. $5000 and $2500. Their interest rate was good so I refinanced my high balance credit cards and went with them. The total I believe was around $35,000 which included my car loan. Well after paying them off on time for around five years. I was layed off my job and still owed Wescom around $4000.00. I asked if they would consolidate all my loans to so I could have one payment intead of 3. That would have helped me out with cash flow. They told me no. I struggled and was able to pay another $2000 off. Which left me owing $1200 for one loan and $850.00 for my car loan. I wasn't working I was getting by just trying to be self-employed working when I could. Then the phone calls started. 3 times a day. They told me if I didn't make a payment on my car they were going to reposses it. I only owed $850 on it. It took me three weeks to get the money for one payment of $359.00. I called them to tell them that I was going to go to the bank and make a payment. They told me they wanted all the money to get the repossesion removed. I gave them every spare time I had to pay it off. When I went into the bank they asked where the $1200 was for the other loan. I told them that I didn't have it. They asked me if I to apply the cash I had to that loan instead of the car loan. I told them no. I don't want my car repossesed. So they told me that they would hold up my pink slip for as long as they could until I gave them the $1200.00 The $1200 was from separate loan that had nothing to do with the car. It sounded illegal to me. I my get a lawyer. I have not received my pink slip yet. They still call me 3 times a day. When I do answer the phone they accuse me of dodging them and they ask how I can support family and not give them $1200. I owe them. When I tell them I will pay as soon as I can. They say they will probably take legal action against. I also owe the IRS, Bank of America and American Express money. They have been Angels compared to Wescom. I won't do business with them ever again.
I used to belong to Wescom, not a good credit union. However, my ex belonged to them, had a credit card with a large limit, took out loans, had savings accounts. To keep this as short as possible, she basically took everything I owned and got rid of me. Well, I have been receiving calls from Wescom for the past 6 months. That means she is broke and owe them a small mint. Awesome for me. However, I am sorry to the rest of you, it sucks to have them calling. By the way, I let it go to my voicemail. I can only guess what she owes (guess 100K)
Since when does not answering a call from a number you don't recognize make you low life? Maybe the desperation of answering calls you don't recognize makes you a low life.
I personally don't like answer "junk" calls and I get quite a few.
