I received a call from Pristine Asset Group asking for payment on an old debt. I was immediately suspicious because the credit card they were trying to collect on had been closed for over 10 years with a zero balance. I tried calling the number back and only received the automated system of Pristine Asset Group. I did some research and found that Pristine Asset Group is run by a shady family of crooks. Thai Hai has been banned by the FTC for collections. You can read the judgment here: https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/ca ... ormancestip.pdf
His brothers - Kenny Han and Andy Han - have opened up businesses under fictitious names along with his sister Jasmyne "Mimi" Han (Shoemaker). Jasmyne "Mimi" Han Shoemaker is the sister of Thai Han and his personal assistant who was responsible for hiding all the illegal funds from his business. If you receive a call from Amphastartrade, Pristine Asset Group, Ascension Law Firm. REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY to the FTC, BBB, and State Bar. I will be filing a complaint, but the more the better!
Tyler Tran cold called me from Ascension Law Group. But this company seems scammy. He did not tell me he was calling about a debt collection which is unusual because it sounded like a collections call. Instead he made it sound like the call was about a case being handled by this law firm. At no point did he mention the call was about debt collection.

A collector cannot represent themselves as anyone except a collector and must tell the person who owes the debt that he or she is trying to collect the debt. Likewise, a collection agency cannot use any words or symbols in its notices to make the person who owes the debt think the notices are legal documents when they are not, or that they come from anyone other than a collection agency (15 United States Code sections 1692b(1) & 1692e; California Civil Code section 1788.13.)
Mimi aka jasmyne shoemakers & Pamela tsao are very close friend. They are helping one another on this scam because Pamela is licensed to practice law. Report it to the state bar
