i got the same call from this guys. they are telling me that i will go to jail if i dont pay this cash advance loan that i got but when i told them i needed information on there company they said they are merchant gracie law office. they even gave me a case # and when told them how do i make a payment they told me that i have to go to walmart, 7-11 an use a green dot money pac card and that is the only way i can pay. they are using 31402690434 number too. i also got a call back from out of are 911 call and supposly it was the sheriff office wanting to verifiy my house address
I got a phone call from the same guy yesterday he told me that i would be locked up tomorrow morning so be home,he said that i commited a fraud i was being charged with 3 different counts of fraud and to be ready to go to jail
Got a call at work asking for my attorney information for I have committed fraud and will be arrested tomorrow. I asked for a number for my attorney to call and they gave the same number that they called from. I asked what case is it and when was I supposedly have committed the crime. She said that she could not give me any information on the case that will be filed at 2:30pm today I told her that if she would not give me any information then she will have to speak to my lawyer. I told her that my lawyer will give them a call. I called my attorney to have him give her a call. When he called she said that I have a Quick Cash Advance and since I did not pay back the advance they are coming for me. He laughed and said ok we will meet you in court tomorrow. Let me know when your flight land from India. She hung up.
just got a call from them same number marina brown, thick indian accent, said she was from mass marketing fraud law firm i said oh really? then she goes you have a lawsuit against you from quick cash advance, i said i never had a loan from any quick cash advance, she proceeded to verify my personal information, all of which was incorrect then after each time i told her she was wrong, she goes ok maybe i dont have the correct person. then i said do you know that there are laws against impersonation, obtaining someones personal information without expressed permission of the owner, attempting to collect a debt using harassment and scare tactics? and if you have been unable to verify correct information then why are you attempting to proceed in telling me there is a lawsuit against me? where is your documentation, and do you realize i will contact the fdca and your local bar association to inform them of your negligent activities she got quiet then claimed she was going to hang up, i knew she held the line so i said, as soon as you do i will report this telephone number, and as is within my rights i am telling you do not continue to contact me or call this number now have a good day. lol gah we need to wipe the face of the earth clean of these scam artists
I keep getting the same guy with the indian accent telling me I'll be in jail and there is a charge against me. Well since I am still here, maybe he better get his facts straight. He says it is my third and final call. If that is the case then why try to get me on my wife's phone? duh Just saw it on the news 2 nights ago about a phone scam and it sounds an awful lot like this one.
i have had this guy named scott miller that says he is from merchant grace law firm call me on several occasions. today he contacted again and told the person that answered the phone all about the debt that i supposedly owe (against the law to tell someone else your info). told me that they were going to send the police with a warrant and that i will be in jail for 6 months. looked up online and found out it is a scam. i contacted the orange county california sheriffs office. hopefully they wont be calling again.
