I just called the number they asked me to call 714-380-5383 and spoke with Mr. Price, gave him the "claim #" and he didn't find anything under the number. Definitely a scam.

A [***] called the first time and claimed he was James Evans attorney! He threatened me with taking property, take my paycheck, take my income tax, put it on my credit report. I ignored the [***]! The next day this screwball claimed he was also an attorney. Threaten the same way! Who are these third party collectors? They told a person at work to serve me papers. They told them. No you cannot! Don't call the shop again. How can I get these people to stop bothering me.

No debt collector can take your property unless you have defaulted on the mortgage, in which case you will be dealing with the bank and get tons of letters.  He can't garnish your wages unless he goes to court, gets a judgement, and then he can only take 25% of your disposable income providing the state that you live in allows it.  If he is an attorney he needs to be able to tell you what state(s) he is allowed to practice in and his BAR number.
