Please please please if they give you wrong info about you do not correct them and do not give any info if It was real you would receive legal documents that have to be signed for
I got the exact same message and call on Oct 17, 2014. When I called back and attempted to get information about the call, the scammer who identified himself as James, was rude and abusive. He yelled at me to "shut up!" when I demanded what business he represented and why he left me that kind of b.s. message. I responded with "f*ck you!" as any lady would when being verbally attacked and harassed. My bf called and pretended it was his first time calling this number back and inquired politely for the reason for the call. "James" indicated the call was "very important as it may result in his arrest for money he owed unless he paid him immediately." I called my local police dept and was advised to call the DOJ to report this as it was a scam. My bf and I then kept calling back that number and harassing him to experience how it feels to be harassed and threatened unnecessarily. The DOJ indicated there's nothing they can really do, but encouraged us to keep harassing the caller of this number. This appeared to work as our continuous calling back of this number and "harassing" him resulted in the caller ("James") to block my number from his phone! LOL
Call the number back and start harassing the caller. Demand who he works for and what he wants. He'll get upset with you and will eventually block your number from his phone as he'll realize you're onto his scam. You can submit complaints about this number to your local DOJ, FTC, FCC, and Attorney General. Links to this information is provided by another person on this post.
