09/02/16 @1:50pm - rec'd a call from - caller ID stated 714-986-1220, said his name was Donovan with Providence, asked to speak to the owner (asked for him by his first name, as if he knew him). I stated that the owner was not in, may I take a message. He said his name again & who he was with, and said his call back number was 714-985-1220, .... which was different than what caller ID stated.
I'm sure it is financing-unsolicited offers of financing by the way. Probably some of the same scum bags who send unsolicited faxes to us unceasingly. There is a sales lead out there that has the name of owner of the business next to ours with our phone number on it so very frequently, we get these scum bags wasting our time looking for the owner of our business and then we get them again looking for the owner of the business next to ours. It doesn't help to try to correct these morons as to which owner is which, that only wastes more of your time since they aren't smart enough to figure out that they've dialed the same number twice for two different businesses (of course, many of these are scum bag auto-dialers I realize). You just have to live with the scum bags because laws and technology are inept when it comes to dealing with them effectively.
I get calls asking for "Carl," who hasn't been part of the company for over 25 years...when I tell them that, then they want to talk to the owner, to which I respond, "He's on vacation, would you care to leave a message for when he returns in two months?"
Caller ID shows PCF. Message says, "Hi, this is Troy calling from Providence Capital. Giving you a call today, seeing if you have anything going on, seeing as far as any up coming equipment purchases or any working capital needs. Would you please give me a call, that would be great, at 714-985-6240. Thank you."
