They called my elderly mother who thankfully didn't answer the phone. Waiting to see if they left a message. Looks like a scam. Why is there not a choice in the drop down menu below for SCAM?
Called Tuesday, 8/23/16 at 8:27 am PDT. Caller ID showed "Stevens Pt WI". Called back from local Sheriff's Dept. phone and found the call was from a very belligerent Sean Anderson of the IRS demanding payment. When told he had called the wrong number, he loudly said he hadn't. Sadly someone already fell for this scam to the tune of $6,000, being told to buy gift cards at Target and read off the numbers to these [***]!
Received a call from this number on 8/23/16. They left a message saying that they were a Federal Investigator for the IRS wanting to talk about unpaid taxes.
Said I owed the IRS $2563 and wanted my lawyers name or I would go to jail. I laughed because I actually owe the IRS $25,000! Thank God I am on a payment plan!
