Called me by name. Told me I was harder to get o hold of than the last cookie in a cookie jar!! It's that time of year again!! Sending out their pledge cards for funds to purchase equipment for breast cancer patients.
A fund raiser. Claims to be raising money for Breast Cancer for helping pay for lodging, etc. for people affected with Breast Cancer. This really is a fund raising group that keeps 85 to 90% into their pockets and gives Breast Cancer 10 to 15%. Such a deal. There are "legitimate" breast cancer associations that pass on most of the money for treating breast cancer.
THE WORD SCAM COMES TO MIND.
Calls occur DAILY!! If I answer, NO ONE speaks no matter how many times I say hello, but the calls keep coming. The caller ID says it's Breast Cancer AM. When I call back to speak to someone or at least leave a message to be removed from their call lis , I hear a recording about the Breast Cancer Charities of America, describing all the good they do and offering an opportunity to leave a message. But there is always another message immediately after stating that the message board is full. I ABSOLUTELY want to be removed from this call list! I see no purpose in this tactic. These calls are a pure nuisance. There isn't even a way to make a donation via these ridiculous calls should I intend to!!!
