A fellow called who sounded like a farmer in OK or TX. He stated that I had a problem with the IRS. When I asked him to describe the problem, he had no idea what I was talking about. So, I asked him who has the details. He provided a case number and told me to call David Williams, my case officer at 716-200-1196. My daughter, a friend who is a CPA, and an attorney friend of mine who is a CPA and listed as one of the top tax attorneys in the world do my taxes. In fact, this attorney writes legislation for the IRS. After about 15 calls, David Williams answered stating, "This is the IRS Office, David Williams speaking." I gave him the case number and we were immediately disconnected.

I received a intimidating voice message from someone with a very thick accent so it was hard to understand everything. He didn't address me by name and I don't think he said which company he was calling from. He stated that he was Officer something and told me not to try to disregard the call. He said if he didn't hear from me or my attorney, then something...would happen but he made his voice so low and threatening that I couldn't really hear.
