This company is a complete scam.  I received calls from them stating that they were a mediator licensed in my state and could arrange a settlement on my debt and that if i did not pay them i would receive summons and be sued.  Upon researching their phone number (they refused to say the company from which they were calling) I found that it was Oracle Financial Group (debt collector) out of Buffalo, NY.  This company has several complaints on them and an alert on their page on the BBB website.  I decided i should probably pull my credit reports to see if i even owed them anything (maybe some old debt was sold to them?) or if they reported something on there.  After looking thru all three bureau reports, i do not owe this company anything, they hold no old or current debts of mine.  On top of that i noticed they made a hard inquiry into my Experian credit report!  This is completely illegal as, i did not give them any sort of permission to do so and they do not hold any of my debts, so there is no reason for them to access this other than for fraudulent means!  This company is a complete scam - they buy your information and then illegally pull your credit report in order to pose as a company who you are indebted so they can steal your money.  If you received a call from these scam artists, do not deal with them, you most likely owe them nothing - immediately check your credit reports and then submit complaints/disputes to the BBB, FTC, CFPB, FCC, your state's Attorney General, and the credit bureaus.
