PLEASE TELL ME THE CREDITOR ILL DISCONTINUE BUSINESS WITH THEM IMMEDIATELY!!!i WOULD LIKE THE CREDITOR YOUR REFERENCING AND ALSO THE # YOU CONTACTED THEM ON PLEASE?

NO way the original creditor would tell you its a scam!!! Your a scam, please do not post fake posts or lies. I don't mind if you post but @ least tell the truth. That is an uneducated statement and also not how the process works....the original creditor forwards you to the person they sold your account too.....then that person refers you to the next person in line so  on and so forth......all accts come with chain of title, the same a a car title and each person who owns it information is on it still and stays forever for accountability purposes!!! so please do not post lies on any company NOT just mine unless you know what your talking about......sad attempt @ getting away with robbing a bank for $1100.00. to me!!

If you owe $1100.00 they would settle for 20%-40% depends on qualifying income questions anyone on SSI/or Disability automatic 10% or VETS or any military person as well!!!!  Yeah sounds like a bunch of scammers to me.....!!!!!!!

Um ...
The poster said he received a phone call from a "law firm".
Two things:
"Law Firms" qualify as "Debt Collectors" when they ... err ... collect debts.
(The term "debt collector" is defined in Section 803(6) of the FDCPA as "any person who uses any instrumentality of interstate commerce or the mails in any business the principal purpose of which is the collection of any debts)
Debt collectors must comply with FDCPA rulings.

The FDCPA states a phone call, email or text message from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:

Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money.   ["Written" means snailmailed - US Mail ... not emailed or texted]

So, there is no "bank robbing", if the debt collector did not follow FDCPA rules.  And your post omitted certain facts ... a suspicious symptom of shilling.

It is highly unlikely someone who posted that comment last Sept is going to bother to come back and look for replies much less provide the information you seek.

Do all accounts passing through multiple hands include the original media and all other documentation so that you can validate the debt as per 15 USC 1692(g) if disputed by the alleged debtor? I highly doubt it.
