They have called me twice--once at the main office of the business I work for, and once on my cell phone. I haven't spoken with them, but they are not registered debt collectors in Texas. Also, federal law states that a debt collector must leave a call back number that is free to the consumer.
I don't know what they want. I'll just file a complaint with the AG's office and be done with them.
I received a call from "James Edwards" from the Hatfield Portfolio Group requesting me to verify information....all they said is where I work and two references on some documents. What baffles me is that when I go to Hatfields site this # is nowhere to be found. They list an 866 # on their website.
I will NOT CALL these scammers back. Every 3 to 4 months I get a new batch of scammers calling me at work.

I just rec'd several calls from this # and a voice mail message was left and the message states I was screening my call at work so he just gone keep calling me! He was very unprofessional and calling my work place and never once left a return number for me to call! I'm calling the AG office now and report them! He's called twice since I've typed this message!
