I woke up at 8:40 and was getting breakfast and at 8:54 a.m., my phone rang. I went over to look at who would be calling, because I thought only people who actually wanted to talk to you would call at that time. It displayed the above number, from NY, also that it was a cell phone. I did not answer, partly because I still felt sleepy and I was trying to eat breakfast and I do not know anyone in NY or have done business with anyone there. They hung up before even getting the answering machine to come on. So, did not leave a message.
These people call frequently. They are trying to sell orthopedic equipment and imply that you have already contacted them regarding a knee brace or back brace. I haven't! It is clearly a scam. Don't answer.
Obviously a boiler room with lots of noise and others talking--wireless call. Answering machine says leave message. The caller has a thick foreign accent (India, Middle East, or Phillippines) and calls me by first name asking to speak with me several times and does not realize talking with a voice mail answering machine. I am on "Do not call list" which is a joke. Probably a telemarketer, another scammer.
