Received an email from ACS (Advance Cash Services), stating I owed them over $900. They gave 716-393-9253 as the contact number. I forwarded the email to the Consumer Protection Bureau.

I just got the same email. I responded with a demand letter of 20k for all the FDCPA violations--not to mention the fact I have no loan. I also cut and pasted the BBB warning about this scam in the email.
