ok so im still in school, so im flat out appalled at the fact that im gettin such a weird and random letter, im not even 18 yet, so i dont understand why i would be a target, also this is an update!! My letter says they call theyreslves "The Secret Society" and basically how they spent alot of 'time, money, and effort' and 'held meetings' to finding me.
CONGRATULATIONS! You found me! =) its kinda creepy, the letter, althogh i must admit a was a bit flattered at first. it said how they found me through my profile (what prfile?!?!) and how my 'traits' were 'truly impressive' yeah right!! haha and they were pretty determined by theyre words to get me to recieve the 'FREE' 'Forbidden Knowledge' in the form of a '112 page Forbidden System titled: MAKE ALL PEOPLE RICH<INCLUDING THE POOR'
And the fact that the signature read <KATIE> yet the name printed under read KATE. Dont know who these people are but they sure know us...
I received the same stupid letter the place is in Delaware and the fax comes up in New York. I researched this fax number and saw all these people that got the same letter. Well guess what I do have a gift from God which is tremendous discernment and I do know what is a scam. When I first started reading the letter I started to laugh because I thought of the movie The Box with Cameron Diaz. What I don't understand is why is this crap still going on, there were .remarks about the same scam since 2007 and now it is 2010. There are allot of vunerable people especially in todays economy. Everyone out there lets put an end to these scammers. Listen to your gut feeling and don't allow these morons with nothing better to do to get away with this any more. I I personally pray tht God will shine His light thru the darkness of this organization and to completely demolish it and not to prey on the innocent people in this world. I pray for all who may be in need financially, physically or anything you need that Jesus Christ will answer all your prayers and to protect you from people like this.
I have received a letter from Katie (Kirsten), and it's apparently the same letter all the rest of you really "special" individuals have seen. Geez, I belong to such a large club of rare people. While the sender's address is in Dover, Delaware, the fax number belongs to an unpublished landline in Buffalo, NY. I'm considering taking my copy of Katie's letter to my local Postmaster General and having him take it from there by forwarding it to the U.S. Postmaster General. In the past, I've reported scams to other federal agencies which only suggested that I submit my complaints online. Guess they've been numbed by the sheer burden of so many complaints. The letter is certainly a dangerous one because it preys on all our deepest hopes and needs, and there will likely be very many tragic victims if these scamsters aren't stopped.
So, it's no surprise that Facebook sells your information. Facebook is, very simply, a platform for narcissists to expound upon the minute details of their daily lives to an unwitting public who really do not care as much as the narcissistic people would love to think that they do. Facebook is the ultimate manifestation of a self-centered society. Is it any wonder that someone would get information from Facebook and use it to send out a letter promising unlimited wealth, health, and "control over any man or woman?" If I were you, I'd immediately make about two dozen bogus profiles on Facebook (nothing overtly recognizable as a fake profile, though.... something nice and vanilla like "Joseph Aaron Prescott".... Sorry, JAP, if I incidentally picked your name; I made that name up completely at random) and add to the seeming legitimacy of each of your phony profiles by having them all "friend" each other. This action, if followed by enough people who are SICK TO DEATH of getting scam letters such as this one, will so erode the confidence of marketers who buy information from Facebook and other such social media platforms that it will eventually lead to the downfall of them all. Then, Mr. Zuckerberg will lose all the phony fortune he has made and have to return to school -- if Harvard will have him back after such an affront (a slap in the face to that prestigious university, the Ivy League as a whole and the many honored graduates who have received degrees from these institutions of higher learning).
I received a letter asking me to fax a page to this number. As there was no return info or any identifiable info whatsoever, I was hoping to find out who is behind this number, and if possible, report it as fraud.
