Call back gets, "You have reached the desk of David Hampton, please leave your phone number and citation number and your call will be returned within 24 hours, thank you." The recording never identifies the affiliation of this David Hampton which itself is rather suspicious. A legitimate organization would identify itself. As for calling to say you've committed a crime and are being served, well that's really wrong on so many levels. Threatening arrest for debt is not only unethical, it's illegal. It's possible that this is the Regional Adjustment Bureau, a debt collection agency with a notorious reputation. The manager of that company is a David Hampton. I don't know if this is the same person or the same agency. Take a minute to read about your rights and what debt collectors can and cannot do:
And here is information on legal action taken by the FTC against Regional Adjustment Bureau who operate out of Tennessee and New York.

I received a call today on my cell & work phone left message on both from a Daid Hampton. Stating that I will be served at my place of business. He was reading from a script becase he was stumbling his words and at one point he said he would call nme back. He didn't state my SSN # but did my birthday and even stated my age. Threatening to have me served at work, they are in NY, I am in CA. This does not add up at all. They do not notify you ahead of time if you are being served. this is complete BS. And he did not state the company he worked for.
