Emily has a lot of trouble with her headset. But she sounds perky and pretty so I gave her all my credit card info.

Since Emily is a robot, she is not troubled by hangups or talking over her recorded message and it is very cheap to have her do the screening before a live person gets involved. Only if you play along with Emily until you get a live person then string them along until they realize they've been punked does it cause them any trouble.
