These a-holes also used telephone number 717-271-7356 a few weeks ago which I blocked. Now I have to block this number. They always seem to call on a Sunday night at 8:30. If they are legit, very little money ever goes to the charity when a telemarketer is involved. m-er f-ers
Called on 10/3. I'm on DNC list. Wasn't home, left no message. No name on caller ID, just the number.
Also, I get calls probably twice a year for local police looking for donations for fundraisers. Is this legal?
Yes ... my experience is similar to those above. This number comes through as Ephrata PA and nothing more and has happened on several occasions recently. I, too, am on the Do Not Call list ... although it doesn't seem to be doing much good.
Due to the necessity of owning a landline for computer dial up, I an treated to an average of 5 calls a day from people who have
no legitimate reason to call. It is personal, verbal SPAM. Like gypsies knocking at the door with their hat in hand, these
people spend all day making calls to total strangers, for money.
Strange, they are quite a wave in the past several years. FIVE a day!
