Thank YOU for the warining -- I also just received a test message exactly the same - stating my credit card number 4108 has been deactivated - asking me to call 717-553-6918 !
I recieved the following text: THE CREDIT UNION CENTER ALERT: Your CARD strating with 4108 has been DEACTIVATED. Please call 717-553-6918. Hint 1 - text message. Hint 2 - no credit union name. Hint 3 - the mix of caps lock on and off. Hint 4 - and this one is the one that should give it away to anyone and everyone immediately - CREDIT UNIONS, CREDIT CARD COMPANIES, BANKS, ECT ALL REFER TO YOUR CARD BY THE LAST 4 DIGITS NOT THE FIRST 4. I will be contacting my bank Monday about this, but who and what else should I report it to?
I got same message. Saturday evening with normal banking hours and customer service hours closed. Phishing attempt. Do not call. Report to FCC and State Attorney General office.
