Let me know what happens with the attorney general, because the second time i spoke with him he claimed he was not an investigator,, what a bunch.. good luck to you as well, thanx!
We have been getting the same calls from this number. You need to check your credit for any information they might have tried to post on there. Then you can report the number to your States attorney and they should investigate them. You have the right to know what the debt is in wirting on paper through the mail. DO NOT fall for the email scam, they will make a fake bill and send it to you. It is a scam, so please do not worry about it. If they try to threaten you go to the police and give them the info. Also i do not know you but if you have done a payday loan and have paid it back then call the company to make sure the debt is final and paid in full. They really just want to get a reaction from you and try to scare you so you will fall for the scam and pay them the money. I wish you good luck.
I've been receiving calls from this number from a so-called, "Officer Richard Johnson" of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Pennsylvania. I wonder if he realizes that impersonating a police officer is a crime punishable by jail time. Hmmm... Anyway, he said there were serious charges against me and my social security number and that my SS# has been placed on hold by the government. So I talked to him today (after he called my place of employment last night and harassed one of my co-workers). First thing I asked was what the charges were. He didn't say. I asked for his badge number. He said 203. When I asked again about the charges, he said he would have to transfer me. I was put on hold while listening to, INDIAN MUSIC!!! Twang twang, doing ding... Mmmm. After about 5 minutes, I called him back and called him on his claim. He sharply informed me that I would be arrested in 30 minutes for these charges. I told him that for impersonating an officer, he would be arrested first and that I don't believe him. He hung up.
That was over an hour ago and I am NOT writing this from jail! Lol! On the contrary, I just completed an email to the PA Attorney General, reporting that someone was impersonating an officer from their BCI and that I have the voicemail recording of him doing so and the number from which he called.
So, we'll see what happens. We don't have to take this sitting down! :D
does anyone know if this is a real deal investigator? this really has me nervous about my home, my job, and my vehicle... at first he said he was a criminal investigator stating that he has my info and needs a total of 741.00 due.. and that also my ssn and bank account info were seized and that either i pay the bill or he would have a SI and or a police officer come and arrest me at home or at work.. i do have a PDL.. and working on paying it but states that there is no time limit just keep paying the finance fee every pay period.. if anyone can help it would be very greatful, thanks..
So after all that i called back after looking this number up and he said he was NOT an ivestigator but that he was in charge of one of the so called PDL loan cases, so i confronted him on this matter and asked for a bagde number confromation number and my case number, he then said he will have a police officer come to my home and work on monday morning at 9am.. please help!! thank you
