I just got a call from this number too. He said that I had won a trip to the Bahamas from a ballet that I had filled out at Canada Blooms last weekend. He was very persistent about me giving him my credit card info so that I could pay for the $299 deposit. The whole thing seemed totally off to me so I just said no.
They tried calling me a few days from a different number but i wasn't home, they then called today but i didn't answer because i didn't know the number. I think they're calling because i filled out a ballot at a stand on Canada day.
Registered for the drawing at 10,000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, MN. Same story. Same prices. 2 for 1 air fares and the fabulous ending surprise... 3 days and 2 nights in Las Vegas!!! nope.. not giving you my $299 promotional fee and the $149 port/ processing fee. Thank you for having this website.
I just phoned, and my family filled out forms at the capital X in edmonton last weekend, so these people go to events and make it seem like u are eligible to win and get your name and number.
They said I won. I am scared.
I was at the Edmonton Capital Ex as well. Same thing, he wanted credit card info. I told him I was not stupid. I told him no real company would ask for that information without showing proof of they are who they say they are. He did not really have a response back. Told me I could talk to his "security department" aka his friend that was probably beside him.
I told him I would look into it before giving him a thing. He said its a one time offer only and its the only way I could 'secure my spot'
I ended the call.
He said the website was bahamavacations.com. Appers to be fake as well.
