I believe this is just one of a variation of telephone nos. that are used by so-called religious charities claiming to collect funds for an Israeli cause. They have rigged their automated callers to send out phoney caller IDs with hundreds of permutations of actual numbers, with various area codes (i.e., 516, 845, 212, 201, etc,). This is a violation of Federal Law. I don't know the point of their calls if no one is at the other end unless their technology has gone haywire and they are not aware or don't care or are getting kicks out of it. You need to report them to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). I don't live in the U.S. and these guys call internationally too. Some of the other fake numbers include: 914-226-7323; 516-211-6455; 845-324-8554. The list goes on ad infinitum. In my case I think these calls stemmed from a donation I gave and either they are from that organization or a related organization. Their no. is 718-377-3055, and apparently there have been complaints about harassing calls. Hope this helps.
