They've called my home and cell number several times (from TX and CA that I can recall). Finally I decided to pick up regarding the "legal matter" and was put through to a man asking why I was calling... I said, "Why don't you tell me who I'm calling, and maybe we can go from there." He told me I owe money from a small outpatient procedure six years ago. A debt that I paid, back when I lived in NY. I never received ANY outstanding bills when I lived there, and now they track me down all this time later? They could not give me a date of service, the number of the hospital billing department, nothing at all. Just a gentle threat that they needed to close this out by the end of the month (tomorrow, mind you) and I would be sued and this amount would become astronomical. I could pay a reduced amount over the phone and I would be all set. I said that if I wasn't going to be sent anything in writing then I wasn't paying. I said I'd call the hospital and get back to them.
this number has called and left a message about lawsuit being put toward me but since I'm disabled and have no outstanding debts I know it's bogus. They called from713-766-8999 and said they were Patrick from northeast collections and to call them back at 718-280-3223 ext. 201.
I assume they think everyone i stupid and afraid of being sued, but these leeches need to be stopped because a lot of people are vulnerable and don't deserve to be taken advantage of.
this woman keeps calling my cell claiming its an urgent matter put on her desk but won't say what it is and besides that she calls from various different phone number.its a scam for sure......i just don't respond....i have never recieved anything in the mail.....don't waste your breath on them they just want money.....i don't understand how they can get away with harrassing people like they do,just not right....
