I just got the same stupid text...really idiot? The original number texting 718-578-4986 is a Text Plus VOIP line. First and utmost no person from any government official would call from a voice imprint line...totally stupid...

I received the same message and I called the number back only to get a "leave a message, name and number". I hung up. How does a person stop these types of calls.
Have received 6 texts from this number- Claims to be from Harrison Law Firm in Midland, Michigan. In the text it gave the number (989) 941-3650 to call. The message reads: "... downloaded in local county court. To get more..." That is the actual message. Written to make a person want to call to see what rest of message says- thankfully, I was born with common sense and I know that if a small claims or a lawsuit was ever filed against me, a company from out of state wouldn't send a pre-warning text. The next text had same 2 phone numbers and this time claimed it was a "John Miller" from the courthouse and I am supposed to contact them immediately to settle this before it goes to court. Isn't it sad that all these losers out there with clever minds can't put them to a much better use? I guess being a 40 yr old living in your mom's basement allows you plenty of time to sit around and come up with schemes since getting an education was a major failure.
