Received a call today asking for a proxy vote for Summit Global Fund, which I don't believe a hold share in. Asked for confirmation of name and address. I said it and feel very dumb now. I gues scredit monitoring is going up now.
There is something else going on here. I don't own any stock in ING or EBAY which is the other stock name for numbers calling me. They may be phishing for financial information.
For months I've been getting calls from the number 718-484-6247, sometimes every day. I answered every call, knowing that once I talk to someone, they will stop calling me. But every time there wasn't anyone on the other end. I finally stopped answering, but they keep calling, leaving no voice messages. Now I am determined to talk to someone, because what they will get from me is a lot of yelling and swearing.
Try blocking the number, or shutting down any answering devices and just letting it ring. Eventually the calls will stop. As long as there's an answer of some sort, they'll keep hassling you.
