Got a message about pending lawsuit on my answering machine, the number to call back was 718-487-9737. Found this number on the internet using Google. Ended up typing this message. That's it. I never call back fraudsters or spoofers.
Same thing happened today with me. First got an automated message when I answered the phone and the same person left another message after a couple of hours. Complete hoax.
The exact thing was said and I questioned him... then he asked if I spoke English. When I told him its illegal to impersonate an officer he started to only talk when I did. Then babbled. Then told me in perfect English that he was going to send 20 pizzas to my house. So I have been calling him over and over and bugging him. Why isnt the IRS doing anything...its obviously the same guy.
Called 3X on 9/28/15. Same automated call as everyone else reported, but the message does not identify the IRS. It just says you are being sued and to call them back.
