Caller stated I was being sued by the Dept of Treasury and wanted to know if I needed a lawyer or if I had one and my personal info. I advised I had do indeed have lawyer on hand and would gladly forward them the phone number of the caller and then hung up.
BE AWARE THIS IS A SCAM NUMBER!!. Same thing happened to me multiple times. They try to get all or any of your information including SS #, bank info, payments ect. DO NOT GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION, REPORT This NUMBER ASAP! They say LEGAL OR CLAIMS DEPT, to scare you but it's all a scam! IMMEDIATELY BLOCK THIS NUMBER with your carrier, or you can yourself. DON'T BE AFRAID OF THESE CON ARTIST! I couldn't understand them when they left a message.
It is a scam, do not let them scare you. These people typically use the same number in different sequences. Most of them come from New York or New Jersey. They just use the words LEGAL OR GOVERNMENT OR CLAIMS DEPT to scare you into giving them your information.
Yes this happened to me also today I also reported it because they claim they were representing the IRS so I went to the website on the IRS and filled out the paperwork online to submit the telephone numbers they also gave the names Leslie Owens and William Black.
