I recieve at least 5 to 6 calls a DAY from this number for the last month... SICK OF IT.... today I finally answered and told them TWICE in not such a nice way to quit calling my house.......... I then proceded to call the 1-718-559-4080 number back cause I was gonna lay into someone about these ANNOYING calls... I got the if you wish to take your name off the list please follow these steps.. I HIGHLY suggest you call this number and do it... if I want to recieve additional business from CABLEVISION I will call myself...
I got a call at 9:05 EST today on my cell but didn't answer. No voice mail was left. Obviously the same people who have been using auto dialer for auto warranty scam. I usually get one or two calls a day on my cell and my caller ID always lists a different number. The number on the caller ID is a "spoof" of an actual number but not the scammers, who are probably calling via the Internet. Best bet is DO NOT ANSWER if you do not know who the caller is, DO NOT PUSH ANY KEYS and DO NOT ASK TO SPEAK TO ANYONE to remove yourself from the list because they will continue to call you. Google "Auto Warranty Scam" for more details. Seems this is occuring nationwide and some states are trying to stop it with little avail because of the difficulty in tracing the call to where it originates from.
