Annoying repeated calls

Called stating he was with the government and that he owed me money. I stopped him and said "I'm sorry. I'm not interested. Please remove my number. Thank you." He came back with "Why should I remove your f*ing number?". I said "Excuse me?", and then he started using some very obscene language which I ended the call by hanging up. He continues to call and harass me. My husband answered the second call and asked the individual to stop calling and the individual got extremely vulgar with him. I am no longer answering these phone calls that come from the same number and yet he continues to call. This is getting ridiculous. I attempted to contact the number back to report him, but there is a recording saying "the person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time."
