I got this call stating that my debit card had been deactivated. No information on what bank. Then it asked me to press 1 to connect to a representative. I didn't and about 5 seconds later, the call ended.
I reported this to the FCC and I urge you to do so as well: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
I just got a call from this number, they wanted all kinds of information about my credit card saying it was deactivated. I entered all 00's and 99's at the end of it, they told me my card was once again active. yeah right.
Does everyone here have Verizon as their wireless carrier? If so is it possible that they have been selling our numbers to a third party? I've been getting these stupid auto mated messages as well. Seems like even crooks are getting lazier because they are relying on machines to do their dirty work.
Got a call from 718-683-3104 telling me that my Visa debit card had been compromised, they deactivated it, and I should call to reactivate it. Ha, yeah right! I don't even have a Visa debit card. I've gotten robocalls like this before and immediately checked with my bank...stay away from anything like this!
