I received a call from a law firm - couldn't understand due heavy foreign accent. When I looked up the number, there was no listing. They said I had won $150,000 from some shopping network. Of course, I know that's not possible since I know nothing about shopping network.
Rec'd call saying I had a ck for $175,000 that was up for cancellation & that I should call 718 705 0779. Called & they agreed to send an email w/particulars about the winnings which I have not rec'd. Was told this had to do w/American Shoppers Network. I told them that from time to time I responded to a cash register receipt, completing surveys w/a chance to win & they said that this is a winning from that. I failed to get excited, thinking that this is another scam, which has been confirmed by this website. It seems that there are those who scheme to see what they can get from others any way they can conjure up. What a shame! They need jail time.
