called and left no message on my answering machine but also didnt hang up ... strange.

I got a call from that number today.  It is one of those carpet cleaning services.  I reported it to the Do Not Call list.

CALLED AND NO MSG .I CALLED THIS NO. BACK AND GOT NOT IN SERVICE MSG.

Calls and hung up after after 2-3 rings.

Caller ID said it was from Brooklyn, NY. I let the phone ring and this person was very persistent - he or she would not hang up for what seemed like three minutes. I thought if the call was really urgent, he or she would leave a message, but there was nothing on the answering machine. It was probably one of those stubborn telemarketers, but I can't say for sure. If you're curious, pick up but I say it's not worth it.
