Listened to my voice mail received a call from Adam Walker, had a foreign accent and could hardly understand what he was saying, said he was from the U.S. Treasury Dept. Also said he was calling about a debt and that there is a legal presiding against me and that I should call him back or my reading attorney, huh?
So I looked this information up and this is what I found in Wikipedia, Reading law is the method by which persons in common law countries, particularly the United States, entered the legal profession before the advent of law schools. This usage specifically refers to a means of entering the profession (although in England it is still customary to say that a university undergraduate is "reading" a course, which may be law or any other). Reading the law consists of an extended internship or apprenticeship under the tutelage or mentoring of an experienced lawyer. A small number of U.S. jurisdictions still permit this practice today.
It did get my attention but of course I always check everything though the internet. I found this site and same complaints about the call, as well as what reading law is about.
So, Know I know not to pay attention to these calls.
Got the call saying he was from the US t
Treasury and wanted my lawyers name and number. I told him I was standjng at my lawyers office so he could just talk to him. He said no to have him call at the number on my caller ID. I told him I didn't have caller ID so to give me the number. He refused and said to just have my lawyer call the US Treasury. I said that's a big place so I needed a specific number. He said he would know the number. I kept pressing for the number and he hung up. My caller ID said New York.
I got same call. I called them back and said that I reported them to the FBI. They hung up on me. I called back and line was busy. They needed to feel like they are making everyone feel lol I had to turn the table around. How dare they do thuis!!!!!!!!!
