I received a message from Charles Green - funny there was someone else that received a call from a Green that posted - said to call about a legal matter. I called it and boy did they take me for a ride for about 30 minutes. After talking to my husband, and me trying to figure out how to come up with almost $2000 I called back to get the web site, they said they are with LLC Legal Office (which there are several web sites with that name) and he would not give it to me and hung up on me. I called back a could times and he was the only one that would answer the phone. Finally the last time i called i asked him just who again do i owe money to, what is the name of the payday loan company. He told me he was not customer service and that people would show up to my work tomorrow and that i will need to find another job and he does not give a damn. Was sooo rude and then told me not to call back again and hung up on me. I then started to do some research myself and found this site...funny...all the stories are the same. These people must stop what they are doing. Oh..and the number that Charles Green called me back on was 320054348 which is not even a correct #...its missing a number.
this phone number keeps calling me saying I am a cosigner on a payday loan with someone whom I used to work.At first they say I was put on the loan as a reference but when I tell them I no longer talk to this person because we no longer work together, then they start telling me that I am a cosigner and am responsible for the loan. when I tell them there is no way I signed for this and to get me proof of my signature, they hang up. can you say SCAM???? they have called me 5 times in the last several days and every person I talk to has a foreign accent. It's making me crazy!
A man with a heavy Indian accent calling himself Roger Anderson with the Financial Crime Dept. called my work number saying that Tiffany Taylor did not carry through on what she said she would do and that either she or I needed to call him back in 5 minutes or he would file criminal charges. I don't know any Tiffany Taylor and told him he had a wrong number, later he called my mobile leaving the same message. After doing some research on the web, I feel confident that it is a scam.
ROGER ANDERSON FROM UNITED FINANCIAL CRIME DEPT CALLED US. DEMANDED A CALL BACK RIGHT AWAY OR THEY CALL MY EMPLOYER. THIS GUY HAS A VERY, VERY THICK INDIAN ACCENT.
This number just tried to get me too. I just got a call on my cell phone from a man with a strong indian accent saying I was being sued by a payday loan company (which I have never done business with). He was trying to get me to say that I would settle outside of court for $500. He knew the names of two former co-workers and said that they were "references" on the note.
