I received a call saying they were Bank of America and that I had lost my debit card. I had not lost my debit card and am glad I hung up. Obviously a scam. They must be cold calling numbers?
i received a call from this number at 11:35 AM!!! Since it was so late at night and I was fast asleep, I didn't get to the phone on time and they DID NOT leave a message. However, after I was scared awake by a LATE NIGHT phone call, I hardly slept the rest of the night. I HATE that they can get cell phone numbers even when they are listed on a do not call list.
I got a call saying that my Bank of America card had been compromised, the automated system said to entire my 16 digit card number to restore my bank card. I do not have an account with Bank of America!
Just got a call stating "We regret to inform you that your MasterCard has been blocked. Please hit 1 to speak to security department" Then the phone went dead. I do have a MasterCard card but no bank was mentioned. The fact that it wasn't an 800 number bothered me and luckily I found this site. I will definitely block this number!
