They called me too. They said they were from microsoft, and I questioned their integrity. I decided to play along for awhile. They convinced me to let them remotely control my computer. But before that, they didn't even know what kind of computer I had. I thought that was odd enough, but I played along as they tried to convince me that an error report was viruses on my computer and they were surprised my computer still worked. They tried to delete permanent files on my computer and the computers safeties came on, and then they deleted some log entries saying it was viruses. They said they could not fully delete the viruses without taking my computer back to it's original state and making me pay $199.00 for protection and registry repair programing. I immediately disconnected their remote access and removed the program from my computer after telling them I did not trust them and hanging up on them. Microsoft does not have to call you to repair your computer unless you have requested it. They will never call you on their own. So know it is a scam if someone should call with these claims.
received call from someone who said they were with 360 pc support.they have been receiving error messages from my pc.i told them that i was with the state department (that was a lie) and that the fbi has to be notified when my computer 's security is compromised and i need their name and company phone number.they said they would call me back and hang up the phone.
I too have been receiving several calls from someone with an East Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft certified 360 support, saying that they have been receiving online errors from my PC. I've asked them how do I know you are actually a Microsoft employee, and they then stated that they are not MS employees. They refuse to send email with the error information to me, only want to deal with me on the phone and try to get me to go online on my PC & follow their instructions. I don't know how they accessed my name & phone since I attempt to stay very private with this info. This is the fourth unsolicited call of this type from this individual I've received over the last couple weeks.

This is a India Mobile number. It has nothing to do with microsoft corporation. So it is a scam, and should be treated as such. Be careful and pass it on to stop others from being scammed. I was never even slightly convinced by his India accent. I knew, like the comment above, that Microsoft would never call me on their own. They always have access that they need with their updating capabilities. So be very cautious my friends.
