These folks NEED to be STOPPED - they are scaring older folks by telling them they know who they are and where they live. The elderly lady I just spoke with was terrified that someone was coming to her house to do her bodily harm. The man on then phone from this agency did not tell her why he was calling - he was only 'fishing' for info on her neighbors. No reputable business whould allow their employees to conduct themselves in this manner.
A man called asking for a person I never heard of. Then gets belligerent when I tell him he has the wrong number. He then tried to get my personal information. Thank God for caller I.D. should he calls again it gets reported.
Guy left a message stating his name (couldn't make it out after 8 times trying) and stated to call 720-200-0326. I called back and there was simply an answering machine asking for name, account, Phone#. I left nothing as I am now very suspicious. I then call straight from the caller Id. It goes to voicemail stating that the number I have reached 908-720-2000 is unavailable and then the beep so that a message could be left. I left no such message and now here I am reading all of these responses. Seems strange that the number listed on the Caller ID doesn't match the number dialed from Caller ID. I have no money owed so I am assuming that this clown is a scam or that they are looking for somebody else with my name.
Turns out that they were looking for another person with my name and told me the last four digits of said persons SS#. They claimed that they would take me of the list but I have received another call though they didn't leave a message. Rediculous
I've gotten their number on their caller i.d. at work, but no message.
Today I was at the Reception Desk and they called looking for me. I pretended I wasn't me and put them through to my extension, but just checked and no message again.
I'm in a debt consolidation program, but so I'm not talking to anyone. I have no clue what account they're calling about. I guess I'll just send them a random C&D letter this week.
