Person claimed to be a Fry Grady Monroe from Bloomington Illinois. I asked him to call me as we were some what dating on line. The person who called sounded like a black man, I am white. He wanted info about my bank account so he could deposit his money in my account, not going to happen. I told him so and he ended our relation. I just wanted to let someone know so they are aware of this SCAM thank you
THere is some man by the name of Grady Monroe Fry asking to accept his friend request on FB, I don't know him, nor does he have any friends in common. My FB page is private, & the only people who are allowed to request me is "Friends of Friends" hmm. this really concerns me. How did he get to try & get me to accept his request in the first place if my Security settings are set only friends of friends may send me a friend request, hmm I just double checked my Security settings, & yes, they were never changed nor touched???? So, DELETE when in doubt, BE AWARE, HUGE SCAMMER, I will try & report him to FB, under their Security Page! Thanks so much for your post!!
Please please please tell me if this Grady is claiming to be from Germany? It's such a unique name and I'm wondering if this man is the same man trying to get my attention on pLenty of Fish
You are being lured into a scam. The name is not the name of a real person, it is a fictional name used by a scammer who is likely to be in Nigeria. If any of what was written in the posts above sounds familiar, you are being set up to be told that "Grady" has some sort of emergency and needs your help - help in the form of Western Union transfers or Green Dot Cards. The stories will grow, and more and more money will be needed. PLEASE Cut off contact, and report this to POF.
There also is a version of the scam as in the very first post - You will be asked for banking and ID info so the scammer can send money to you. When the info you provide, your accounts can be cleaned out within minutes, and no way at all to your money back.
Don't be a victim - the best way NOT to be a victim is to NOT volunteer, by providing info to a crook. You won't like to hear this news, but better that you get control of this now.
