Just had a call from these guys claiming to be "SS Techno" and had detected a problems on my computer. as I had received the call on my cell phone (landline was forwarded) I called the number while we were speaking - it went to dead air. A couple minutes later they called back stating that I had called them but got no answer. They then talked me though a process to call up the event viewer window so they could log on remotely and "fix" my computer. If they call DON'T TRUST THEM!
Same deal. These guys were posing as windows technicians trying to get me to give them access to my computer. I played along for the first while. I asked for a phone number and they gave me this one. I then started to ask where they were calling from....the guy passed me off to his "supervisor" and the supervisor said he was calling from Arizona...ok. THen I explained that I knew they were a scam and trying to gain access to my personal information and that I would have to inform the RCMP about this call then he got all nasty and actually said they were calling from Iraq and that they were alqaeda and that they were going to take all of our money to kill us all! Then he hung up. So I did call the RCMP and gave them the information.
The information given on the above posts are absolutely wrong,because i got a call from the same number and they have provided me with awesome services for my computer........

I received a call from the same number and the person, posing as windows technician, was trying to gain access to my computer as well. What a coincidence the name of the person calling me was Victor.
