I received a call from the same number and the person, posing as windows technician, was trying to gain access to my computer as well. What a coincidence the name of the person calling me was Victor.
Eric Johnson called me last night from (I think he said Technical Support from Florida) with the same message. I fell for it! After an hour on the phone with him, during which he (it turns out) was probably hacking into my computer, I was so convinced he was legit, I signed up for two years. Today, I cancelled my credit card, but what can I do about the computer? As a warning to others, he has an Indian accent, so I questioned his name. He said he was an Indian Christian.It's likely he will use other names for future calls, but listen for the accent. If it does not jibe with the name, question him.
