This caller has called my mom's phone late in the evening almost everyday for about six months or more for a person that does not live at my mom's address. The callers have been informed the person they are trying to reach does not live at this address nor is this their phone number. The callers have been ask to remove the phone number and to not call this number again. To this day they are still calling, are rude, and will not remove my mom's phone number. They ignore everything they have been told and continue to call my elderly mom's phone. There should be some legal options to deal with this type of harassment when the debt does not belong to anyone in the family.
Received a robot call from local number 720-262-8239, asking for someone named Ray Kello. The Robot told my answering machine to press 1 if it was Ray Kello and, since my answering machine was NOT Ray Kello - nothing got pushed. The message said the call was coming from Stellar Recovery and was a debt collector and that we were supposed to call them back at 877-236-5791. The only time we ever heard of Ray Kello was about five years ago, when we first got our cell phone. We started receiving this type of call, looking for Ray Kello. We began keeping a list of all of the various telephone numbers which called, asking for Ray Kello - and turned the list over to our District Attorney's office of Consumer Affairs. We are pretty sure that there probably is not actually anyone in the whole entire world who is named Ray Kello - and that these people are just calling, asking for this person - in the hope that we will turn over private information about ourselves, such as telephone number, social security number, home address, etc., in order to try to PROVE to these guys that we are NOT Ray Kello. You would think that IF these people truly believe that Ray Kello is someone who is trying to skip out on a debt - it would NOT be likely that Ray Kello would have given anyone his ACTUAL telephone number. Either the people who keep calling for Ray Kello are very dumb - or very crooked and - either way - we want NOTHING to do with them!
I get several call a day from this debt collector. They don't seem to understand that they are trying to collect on a debt that was payed off several years ago. They are not near as smart as they like to think they are.
