Actually, the DNC list does work. Big and legitimate businesses do abide by it. Obviously, the scammers and shady businesses don't care about the DNC list. That's where the problem comes in, plus those exempt from the list (political calls, etc.).

I told him why do not you take the opportunity yourself so you do not have to call random people and hear them insulting you at every call because it is obvious that whatever it is, it's a scam .

Yep; mine was like the others. Blocked yet another of these annoying robocall numbers. I've noticed that I received quite a number of these calls lately (supposedly) from the (720) area code.
The 'do not call' list is meaningless for these scammers because they are crooks using fake/spoofed numbers who are trying to prey on those vulnerable to this stuff. In fact, resist ever responding to a prompt to be 'taken off the list' since this only verifies that you are 'live' number and only invites them to call more.
