Called yesterday - caller ID listed Century Link - wanted to 'upgrade' my long distance. Said no thank you and I hung up. Today this number showed up (720) 315-7916 - no one on the other end. Obviously another bad marketing scam.
This is not century link calling although they say they are a certified Century link representative. He (Paul Espinoza) wanted to speak with the owner. When I told him I was, he wanted to know my name. I asked for his name and phone number so I could call him back. I called Century Link and they have no such representative. It is a scam.
Caller on other end claimed to be with CenturyLink, though when challenged admitted she was not a CenturyLink employee.
After asking to be taken off their calling list, she said she could not do that without me confirming my account address. (This is false; all you have to do is ask in order to be removed from a calling list. Period.)
I demanded that she give me her name and the name of her company. She gave me a first name, "Summer", and the following info:
Communications Solutions LLC
1-888-920-4006
I've also reported them to the FTC via donotcall.gov
Just got this one - some guy who wants to speak to the person authorized on the Century Link account. Right, if you were actually Century Link you would have that information - and you would know how actual Century Link employees identify themselves.
The caller company information has been spoofed to say it's Century Link but it really isn't.
it is a call center out of India. I don't know what their scam is but they call at least a dozen times a week, i usually transfer the call to my office cat who likes to yowl into the phone. Renaldo is in charge of all unwanted phone calls.
Calls at work every single day, always a hangup call. ID says CenturyLink (who we do use for our phone service). Tried to call them back to ask them to quit calling, that just hangs up too!
