Shill, Nick, or whatever your real name is, let's face it; this number is busted.  If you were truly Joyous, you would have done the legal, correct thing when collecting a legal debt in this country.  Clearly identify yourself by name, correct call back number, full mailing address, and would have joyfully also sent the legally required documents to debtors.  But you didn't do that, did you?  So, as noted above; busted.  Anyone you call can look her and see all the comments about the phony collections and realize what you are.
DON'T KEEP RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEM; you are a common thief.  Ol' Mom and Dad proud of you?  Get a real job that involves producing something useful from the fruits of your labor.

Maybe because this person is happy people are stupid enough to send money for any reason.  Kind of cute, yeah?  The name says it all.  A shill, for phony debt collection.  See how the "ex" just didn't learn, in spite of the sage counsel?  And how lucky this "ex" was to have the info in spite of how they didn't listen.  Any how wonderful these debt collectors are, keeping in mind that if it's an "ex" this person wouldn't be legally able to be contacted after they notified "Nick" that they were no longer married and therefore had no legal obligations?  And, of course, that if this wonderful "Nick" continued to contact someone they had been notified wasn't who they were looking for, why, they'd possibly be sued for violating the federal debt collection laws?  Nick must be just wonderful.

Yes, I know, if a debt collector calls you then you must absolutely owe the money, right?  You people are all alike, trying to convince people to pay for nonexistent debt, calling the wrong house, not providing proof that the debt is real and most importantly that you have the legal right to collect it.  Take your shilling elsewhere.  This scam has been blown wide open.  Anyone receiving a call from this criminal organization should immediately sue them into oblivion.

If you know who this number belongs to, why did you look it up? And why are you so sure this company is legitimate, just because your ex has debt? That's no proof THIS company is legitimate. Unless they MAIL proof of the debt as required by law, no one should EVER assume a caller is a legitimate debt collector.

I don't believe you get to walk back what a psychologist might term "transference". Your alleged complaints against an alleged ex-spouse are a private matter. There is no room here on a public board to expand your diatribe to include all persons accused of owing money, or indeed all recipients of collection agency calls.

This of course is a common trait of bullying collection agents everywhere, who wallow in the moral and financial failures of their co-workers, social circles, and possibly themselves, then project a magnified reflection of that misery upon every poor schmuck who happens to be listed in a debt portfolio.

Your stated belief that someone else's debt is genuine does not rinse away sins committed by its collectors, which may include calling "the ex" about it needlessly and freely revealing the call purpose. Your belief in a benign industry populated by those "simply doing their job" does not jive with the majority's experience of deceptive and abusive behavior.

For the record, I did try to "talk/work with them" and did not "run from my problem" whenever debt collectors appeared. When they hassled me for people I've never met, they often refused to quit when asked. When they had a plausible claim on me, they did not want talk or work. They wanted the quickest shortcut to my money while trampling my rights to get there. Also for the record, I'm consistent in removing the excuse to keep calling with those three little words, "stop calling here". The FTC and CFPB do not expect me to pay a ransom for a quieter phone. In fact, when caustic collectors make me "truly annoyed at them", they become my defendants and they lose badly.

You're half right in that once I get that fat check from a lawbreaker I "feel WAY BETTER" and "am able to do things that (I) want" .... like buying this huge pro monitor I'm using as I write, or getting months ahead of my real bills which you'd casually assume I like to ignore. See, I can't be the only person in a debt dispute who believes in responsible behavior. I won't tolerate the imbalance and the law says I shouldn't.
