Calling every day, sometimes multiple times a day. If this is political call from Mike Kaufman offices, then CallerID should say that, instead of showing as a generic call from Lyons CO.
Robo calls from Congressman Mike Coffman office. 1- I don't talk to machines (even those that call multiple times per day). 2- I'm on the Do Not Call list (what a joke) and realize that political calls are allowed but are political ROBOCALLS allowed? 3- I live in Colo which is a "swing state" that will be getting lots of attention so I need sedatives to deal with the next 1 year plus of these calls, pamphlets, midday "visitors" and more garbage, ad nausum. I called Coffman's Colorado office (720-748-7514) and the guy who answered was frustratingly responsive (I couldn't really sound off at him)- he said he would "gladly" take my # off of their list. We'll see.
Actually they can get into trouble if they do not place you on their internal DNC list when you ask them to. Your best bet is to go to each party's web site and send them a DNC message. I also made it a point to contact any politician that calls directly through their web sites also. Its pretty much stopped all of them cold. But there are some die hard's.. and yes, like I said, they can get into trouble for not placing you on the internal DNC. I can't remember exactly which one it is, but one of these covers political call outfits that just got popped for their not doing what they are supposed to!
Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:
