This number (CallerID = "SYS VERI") has called our office 1-2x/day for several days. Generally, they hag up once our voicemail system picks up, but this today the robot left a prerecorded message:
"Youve been flagged by local maps verification.
Press one to verify your business name, address and phone number now,
or press two to cancel this verification notice".
Apparently, they're testing active phone lines to find new victims, so beware: do not even answer your phone, much less press any buttons: if you do get tricked into confirming you're a human, your SYStem will be VERIfied, and you'll be put on the next target list.
Yet another obvious scam call...
I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I have Caller ID on my landline, and believe me it's worth every cent it costs to have it...
The DNC list is a joke, of little or no use. If you don't have Caller ID on your landline - get it...
