Today this number belongs to Amy with Addiction Specialists. Robo call. If you or anyone you know has a drug or alcohol problem, blah blah blah, press 1. I'm sure if you press the option to be removed someone else will call you later.
Just a bunch of criminals looking to steal your money and identity. They aren't associated with any company. They are no services, there is no company. Just theft.
This scam operated by the same group of criminals has been going on for years.
General rule of thumb, if it is an unwanted telemarketing robo call, it is a scam.
Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. Never do business over the phone. Not everyone uses 800notes so please warn others. And NEVER EVER PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. Never.
Warn the gullible and the elderly. Better to be safe than sorry!
NEVER press any number with these tele-marketing/scamming calls. It only tells them that your number is an active number, and your number will be sold to other marketers/scammers.
This was a call from a company identifying iteslf as "GE Security". It was a sales call. I am on the DNC list and they KNOW not to call to begin with. "Free offers" such as this which required "equal exchange are in fact sales calls.
Please get the name of any person who calls you and then tell them that under hte law THEY ARE PERSONALLY LIABLE for damages under DNC laws. They personally MUST CHECK the DNC list before calling or can be fined perosnally. Let them know that any further calls from that company will result in a small claims action against them personally and a separate action against thier company.
That should make some of them quit as soon as they realize that they can be sued for up to $10,000 personally.
